The official status of this product is cancelled, per Sega's press release a few months back. And I don't think it will be, since as I said in my previous post, obviously AtGames isn't going to officially comment on the existence of this product if they haven't already. As far as I know, it hasn't been released. No, I don't know anything about custom firmware for this.
